MBSR Mindfulness-Based
Stress Reduction

MBSR students join the program seeking to feel more balance, calm and connection in their lives. If you share these aspirations then MBSR can be a valuable learning pathway for you. The decades of scientific research on MBSR show it can help you cope with stress and other difficult emotions like anxiety and depression.

When life gets stressful, it can be overwhelming and we can experience thought-based thinking patterns we can feel stuck in. MBSR students report they feel more spacious, less critical of themselves and others, happier and more engaged in their lives. The program can help you to connect more kindly & meaningfully to yourself & your relationships.

MBSR will teach you mindfulness coaching skills and mindfulness practices through an experiential and systematic learning pathway that is underpinned by the eastern wisdom traditions and evidence-based science of MBSR & MBCT. You will be guided on a self-discovery journey within our community & begin what will hopefully become your lifelong practice & approach to life.

How does mindfulness work?

Mindfulness facilitates brain plasticity and although the research is still in its infancy there is emerging evidence showing that it can mediate the regions in the brain involved in attention control, emotional regulation and self-awareness. After the 8-week MBSR program the physiological and neuro scientific research shows a change in structure and function of these regions in brain. You will understand the mindfulness theory cognitively but it's through the practice the body and mind becomes integrated and this is a different kind of awareness and knowing that is experiential and practice based.

Kind Words from Clients

Marion is a warm, welcoming and empathetic professional and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her on specific areas of concern in my life. After completing the 8-week mindful based coaching I am now less stressed and feel my life is more well-rounded and balanced. I have gained valuable tools and skills to assist me in working through future challenges in all areas of my life. I found that regular sessions, working through the program and the meditation practice incorporated into the program, gave me clarity about my needs and desires, and assisted me in maintaining boundaries to stay true to my authentic self - Caitlin | University Student.

Marion is an incredibly talented and insightful coach who helped me become a more resilient, balanced and mindful person. During our sessions, I learned how to meditate effectively and developed strategies to help cope with life’s ups and downs - both are now an essential part of my everyday existence. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to reset their work/life balance, learn mindfulness and improve their leadership skills- Richard Harrison | CTO Bueno

I came to Marion to do the 8 week Mindfulness course to help understand and see if I could improve a work environment that was quite stressful. Marion gave me the tools to deal with conflict in the workplace and to manage my stress, through assertiveness and various types of meditation. This was also assisted via her honest feedback on the work scenarios’ that I discussed in the sessions. The course gave me more confidence to tackle tricky situations and to be more self assertive.

It also helped me become aware of the things that really matter in my life.I definitely would recommend this program to anyone that would like assistance through a challenging time- Tess Milne | Interior Designer.
