Breathe With Birrarung

A Free Nature-based Mindfulness, Arts and Ecotherapy Workshop in Herring Island in collaboration with Stonnington Council and RiverFest

A RiverFest Event with Marion Miller guiding you through Ecotherapy and Nature-based Mindfulness in Melbourne.

Join mindfulness teacher, coach, and eco-therapist Marion Miller for a special RiverFest session exploring our deep interconnection with nature and the Birrarung (Yarra River).

Blending nature-based mindfulness with compassion science, this free workshop offers practical and creative ways to cultivate presence, care, and wise action. Together, we’ll reflect on how nurturing our own well-being inspires a shared purpose in caring for our local lands, waters, and community.

What to expect:

  • Guided Nature Meditation & Poetry: Grounding practices to awaken the senses.

  • Sharing Circle: A safe space to explore our personal and collective grief and love for nature.

  • Creative Exploration: Expressing our connection and heartfelt love for the river.

  • Connection Ritual: Reflecting on the past, present, and future role of the Birrarung.

  • Mindful Nature Walk: Integrating practice with a gentle, immersive wander along the riverbank.

Event Details: 11th October 2026

Cost: Free

Bookings: Essential (places are strictly limited). https://events.humanitix.com/bwtb2026
