Mindfulness Meditation Melbourne
Mindfulness Meditation & Awakening to Present Moment Reality

The invitation of mindfulness is to recognise your inherent wholeness. It is a powerful practice for slowing down, reducing reactivity, and experiencing a deeper sense of inner peace and interconnection.
Rooted in ancient Insight Meditation (Vipassanā) and supported by modern neuroscience, these simple yet profound techniques cultivate a spacious, harmonious relationship with both your inner and outer worlds. By living fully embodied in the present, we navigate life and work with greater resilience, compassion, and wise action.
Anchoring Awareness with Insight Meditation
Mindfulness is the systematic observation of thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and environment with discernment. Drawing from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Buddhist Psychology, our sessions teach you to:
-
Anchor Yourself: Use the breath and body as a grounded, stable foundation.
-
Observe Phenomena: Train the mind to notice the flow of sensory and mental experience.
-
Release Reactivity: Break free from unhelpful patterns and allow consciousness to flow freely.
Current Offerings in Melbourne & Beyond

The Benefits of Mindful Living
Scientifically proven to enhance well-being, a consistent practice supports:
-
Reduced Stress & Anxiety: Respond to challenges with composure.
-
Enhanced Focus: Improve concentration and decision-making.
-
Emotional Resilience: Navigate complex emotions without becoming overwhelmed.
-
Wise Action: Support social justice, ethical leadership, and creative expression.
The Mindful Mindsets: Discover the nine foundational attitudes developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. These "mindsets" can be cultivated formally in meditation or informally in daily life. Read more on the Coaching Blog.
Tradition Meets Modern Practice
While mindfulness has gained mainstream popularity through the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, its heart lies in the Insight Meditation (Vipassanā) tradition—a 2,600-year-old branch of Theravada Buddhism.
As an MBSR teacher and Dharma Teacher Trainee at the Insight Meditation Institute (IMI), I help bridge these worlds. My areas of interest are engaged mindfulness, where life is your practice and drawing from the ancient teachings to navigate an ethical approach to a sustainable life in connection with the natural environment and a small localised community. You do not need to identify as a Buddhist to practice with us; these teachings offer a practical map to explore the true nature of reality for yourself and the invitation is to be curious and try it out for yourself.
