A Holistic Retreat in Melbourne for Deep Nature Connection, Restoration & Renewal

Are you feeling disconnected from yourself, your community, and the natural world? Struggling with all that is happening in the world right now and where to place those emotions and what to do? Our Earth Circle holistic day retreat offers a refuge  to slow down, be in community and rediscover the profound healing power of nature and community connection.

Over one transformative day, you will:

  • Journey Inward: Explore your personal story, process grief, and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself and "interbeing" within the context of the larger life.

  • Connect Deeply: Engage in nature-based insight meditation practices and mindfulness, creative expression, and meaningful conversations with a community circle.

  • Be Inspired: Guided by experienced facilitators and engaged buddhists, Arian Young and Marion Miller, you'll leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and empowered to live with a greater sense of resourcefulness and active hope.

Our retreat in the beauty of regional Victoria offers a unique blend of:

  • Mindfulness Practices: Meditation, journaling, walking meditation, and sit spots.

What to Expect on our Day Retreat

The Earth circle in Victoria begins with a meet and greet, short talk and meditation and you take your place and get to know your community for the day retreat. Followed by:

  • Mindfulness and insight meditation for deepening into your inner world with awareness.

  • Nurturing self-care activities to help you rest, renew and reset.

  • Eco Dharma for exploring human potential, wise action and eco conscious living and leadership in these troubled times.  

  • Guidance on the Wise Action Framework for integrating retreat insights into daily life.

  • Nourishing home made food with local seasonal ingredients for lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

  • Community for meaningful connections; experience the power of village-making and social mindfulness.

  • Conversations that matter, storytelling and sense making.

  • Nature connection, rituals, and connection to the sacred.

  • Nature-based creative arts activities for authentic self-expression and emotional processing.

  • Arts and Poetic journalling for self reflection, contemplation and self understanding.

Day Retreat

Meet Your Facilitators

Arian Young is a qualified in Soul Centred Counsellor and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, with over thirty-five years of experience.
She is an engaged Buddhist and, former Buddhist nun from the Gelug School of Tibet's Vajrayana tradition. She helps clients explore unprocessed grief that crafts outcomes of clarity, acceptance and transformative insight using tools from spiritual counselling, mindfulness, meditation and ancestral history to enable vital, conscious gratitude to help you live and love more deeply. 

Arian Young

Marion Miller is a qualified eco-therapist, coach,  mindfulness teacher (MBSR) and artist. She has been providing holistic support to the community and workplaces

 for more than twenty years. She guides clients in conscious living and leadership with an approach combining creativity, depth psychology and the work that reconnects along with mindfulness, coaching, compassion and insight meditation. Currently she working on a land-based retreat on the Surf Coast and participating in Dharma teacher training with the Insight Meditation tradition.
