Life Coaching Tools for Creativity, Performance & Leadership.

Good life coaching can help people change their lives for the better. Life Coaching is an approach with a growing research base and professional certification and code of ethics. The Life Coaching approach can be applied to Life, Career, Health and Wellbeing & Leadership. Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process that helps maximise the clients potential and unlocks previously untapped imagination, performance and leadership.

Life Coaching comes with a set of tools that the coach can use in their sessions to help the client with their reflective practice, performance and productivity, behaviour, insight or wellbeing. Life Coaching can help you get from where you are now to where you want to be but the tools I use can sustain your personal and professional development your whole life. With the right tools you can experience some of the changes you seek. Let me introduce you to 3 great Life Coaching tools.

1. Wheel of Life

The wheel of life is considered to be a foundational life coaching tool that could guide the whole coaching process. It's designed to help get a sense of your whole life and discover what areas you want to improve and focus on in Life Coaching. The idea is you look at the 7 categories of your life and rate how satisfied you are in this category of life. 10 being on the outside edge and completely satisfied and unsatisfied on the inside and a 0 score.

2. Reframing

Reframing is a commonly used Life Coaching tool for changing your perspective on something to see new options. Given that we all create schemas of the world to operate in it and we can call these mental models "frameworks." Some frameworks can be unhelpful in moving toward your goal, they can keep you stuck or make the things you need for change seem invisible. Reframing involves changing an existing framework to one more helpful.

3. Circle of influence

Inside your circle of influence are all the things you can something about and have control over. Your circle of concern are all the things you can't control. The idea is there is no point wasting your time and energy on things you can't control. Reactions tend to focus on the circle of concern which depletes our energy and is negatively focussed and the problem here is the circle of influence will get smaller and stress will increase. When we switch to our circle of influence our perspective expands, we are energised positively and we can feel we are making an impact of our lives, relationships and work.
